The summer after my highschool senior year I worked at the Holy Family Fest as a member of the Apple Corps! We worked in the snack shack and baby sat the kiddos. Do they still have the Apple Corps?! Such great memories.
I love podcasts too! I listen to them all the time…I’m even getting my 5 year old into podcasts, she loves listening to the Catholic Sprouts podcast every day hehe. What are some your favorite podcasts? (besides Messy Family because that one is obvious! lol) Nice to you meet you!!
Ann and Anh…. I love the read aloud revival podcast too!!!! SO much! I listened to it for a year before I realized she was Catholic, I loved how she organizes her Saint book-lists haha
Ann – I’m glad we are on this journey together! Also, houseplants become really easy once you get the watering and light right! Over-watering is the number one killer of houseplants hehe.
Stephanie – You got it! We’re excited to officially launch the ministry, but we both keep having babies which takes a lot of energy from us! hahaha
Anita – My husband is the sourdough expert, he is so good at it, he does all the fancy designs in the dough haha. I know he bakes it on a big pizza stone and keeps a steel bowl over it while it’s baking. I do a lot of french baguettes and Italian breads. I’d say one tip for that is not adding too much flour!
oh and I realized I forgot to mention (after reading someone elses intro) that Jeff and I love board games and I am determined to make our family a “family game night” type of family haha!
I’m right there with you when it comes to being passionate about passing on the strong knowledge and love of the Catholic faith and starting form scratch because I did not receive it myself growing up!
What kinds of games do you play when you have people over for game days? Board games? Or cards? Or pictionary type stuff? Jeff and I love Euro Style games. We have quite the collection. Our favorite are Agricola, La Havre, Charterstone, Indian Summer, Kingdom builders, Carcasonne, oh my I could go on and on lol
Hi Stephanie! Nice to meet you! My kids are similar ages. 5years, 3 years and 5 months. My husband and I lived in Indiana for 5 years while he got is PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue, so we know quite a few people who went to Notre Dame and St. Mary’s for their undergrad! Good luck with your homeschooling journey!
