Alyssa- congrats on your little boy and well wishes for your delivery! I too was a dancer and now my almost 13 yo does ballet, jazz, and modern. Even though I left dancing long ago it still brings joy seeing my daughter love it!
When you say “St. Jerome Academy” do you mean THE St. Jerome? The classical school whose model is being copied all over the country? If so…lucky you!
We really wish we had a great classical Catholic school (especially as our oldest is nearing high school).
We are in Washington too! We are north of Seattle in Edmonds. I also work for the church- directing youth sacrament prep at our parish (and until a few weeks ago teaching middle school religion). We are switching our kids to homeschool in the fall and with that I’m going to teach them instead of in the classroom.
Glad to see another family from Washington on here!
I also am leaving working in our Catholic school and bringing my kiddos home to homeschool in the fall. We toyed with the idea for years (actually since our rising 8th grader was going into kindergarten) but our experience at home during COVID pushed us to make the jump. It’s an adventure we are excited for!
Will love to hear more about your homesteading adventures. We just got our second flock of chickens… Bella (Bellatrix), Cissy (Narcissa), Ada Ivy, Sophie, Jade, Goldie, Luna…all named after my kids’ favorite book characters and precious gems/metals. Also, it appears Jade might actually be Mr. Jade😩. We’ll have some sad kids if he needs to be re-homed. But we will have not-sad neighbors😂!
“Yard puppies”! I love it!!
